Launching ‘Strkd’ (pronunciation: stro•ked) has been a dream in the making for the past couple of years, right from concepting, production to bringing this brand to life in the Summer of 2021.

Concept

Brushstrokes x Good Vibes

Competition in the clothing industry is immense, launching the brand with its own unique brushstroke filled and hand drawn art style was never going to be enough on it’s own. Building a connection and making it relatable was the ultimate challenge – enter ‘positivity’.

Having been through a rough patch myself, and seen my life turned around 180° was the push I needed to add the missing element to Strkd. Spreading Positivity with the help of hand drawn artwork on fabric, that’s what Strkd is all about.

Building Trust

Creating a website that’s beautiful is obviously very eye catching, but having a visual identity is equally if not more important. In an era, where websites are the ultimate shopping experience – it is important for customers to know the brand without seeing the logo.

Thickness of the font, the pantones, the tone of voice delivered by your design aesthetic – they all play a key role to make the potential customer hit that checkout button. It is about delivering an experience, step by step – almost like a funnel, which in turn leads to building trust.

According to Google Analytics, more than 82% of our users visit our site via their mobile devices. Given our target audience is Gen-Z, this is where you build trust and honestly, have no margin for error. Making it easy to use, familiar, convenient and in the process keep it’s identity intact, while delivering a ‘Strkd’ experience.

E-commerce Setup

Setting up the back-end, from the products page and information to SEO and Analytics. Includes automated processing of sales tax, emails and shipping information to the customers and shop.

Making it social friendly and integrated with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter as well as Google Merchant.

Content Creation

Content creation and maintaining a presence on all social platforms included but not limited to Pinterest, Facebook, Giphy, Tiktok, Twitter and Instagram.

#BelieveInTheShift – Brand slogan, and a way to remind people that a change in mindset starts with believing in the shift within themselves.

Series for a Consistent Feed
 
  • The ‘Oddly Satisfying’ series – creating soothing content to help with anxiety, and appeal to a mass audience with colorful and paint inspired content.
  • Motivational Posts – creating content to help motivate users on social: typically posted on Mondays or Tuesdays to help kickstart the week on a good note.
  • ‘Wallpaper Wednesday’ – branded phone wallpapers with affirmations and positive quotes to serve as a healthy reminder.
  • Product Shots – posting pictures of the products we sell to tie it all together.
 
Integrating content and sales on all social platforms 

Reels & GIF’s

Interactive content such as reels and gifs have shown to engage the audience to a whole new level, and it was important to give our audience something to play around with. Our first few gifs led to over 50k views which in turn resulted in better brand recognition and organic exposure.
